Falling down, Standing still

Contributed by JoeyTrib1550 on Tuesday, 3rd October 2006 @ 03:17:30 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Falling down the sky, endlessly
Can’t stop on my own, still falling, like a stone
No one can hear my cry, despairingly
Scared to the bone, still falling, all alone
Falling through a lie, hopelessly
All the way down, still falling, ready to drown

You caught me in my fall
You saved me, kept me still
Though for you that was all
Just some time to fill

Burning with desire
Bursting with pain
You set me on fire
And left me in vain

But now I’m standing.
I can handle on my own.
Think I am suffering
But all I am is grown.

Just standing here, proudly
Can handle on my own, standing like a stone
Not knowing fear, bravely
But down to my very bone, I know I’m all alone
A single tear, slowly
Running down my cheek, my eyes, they drown

Such painful words penned to this page. Time heals all wounds my friend. You need to focus on moving on. The past is in the past where it belongs. May you find a special someone who shall be worthy of your heart & love.
A sad and emotional write. You have done a fine job expressing your thoughts in this great piece of writing. Keep up the wonderful work.
love, hugs n prayers,
Sue M

overall a really good poem..there are lines I would change around without altering the meaning, just to make the flow better..but that's just me.
