Remisssion

Contributed by strawberryshortcake on Tuesday, 3rd October 2006 @ 02:07:34 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

My life was full of happiness all the time
Everyone around wanted to be like me
A shining example of true perfection
Or so it seemed to the world.
They couldn't see what was on the inside
The real, disgusting, blackened fusion swirling in my soul
I haven't been happy for a long time
I still know the difference between fantasy and reality
I don't want either one of them
Alone, I think of the past years, my happiness then
All gone .
Around others, I go inside myself and don't face the real things
Way too painful for me.
In the light of day, alone, I'm at my best
In the dark of night, I go to the place where no one can harm me.
My life has been a disease for a long time now
My soul and spirit are cleansed from the filth of the real world
They are safe for eternity
Because they don't belong to me
My body and mind are twisted and full of agonizing pain
I feel only torture with every breath I take
There is an answer somewhere out there
But will I ever find it?
I need remission for my life
The release from all this torment I've gone through
Does it?Will it? Can it ever end?

In my opinion It ends while the pen is flowing...
I was expecting a more medical reason but the way you described the need for remission reminded me equally of that eats us away to metastasis. A deep heartfelt confessional expression which I hope truly brings healing.

Peace
