The Tide

Contributed by Patterz on Saturday, 15th February 2003 @ 02:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

The tide goes out in the humdrum fashion
in which is always does
Ends its life
as nothing
not a comparison to what it was
It leaves without discern
Predictable as rain
Washes away the memories
scrapes away on the sands of time
Oddly
as it goes out I drown further
standing on the shore
sinking into misery
and then unjustified
the way in which you left me so suddenly
I cannot navigate these turbulent waters
without your guiding light
how can my soul ever rest again
without your calming
presence?

I miss you

-{P@'o3}

My dear, Im sorry for your loss. I cannot say how your feeling and understand, as I too have lost loved ones very dear and close. I can say that, somehow, you do find a way to over come that feeling and use it to see thier guidance is there with you always. The love and feelings of whom we have lost will always be with us. Their presence is there, in a rainbow, a soft breeze of thier favorite scent, something that normally wouldn't be there is, and the presence of someone close to you is there. Don't look for human presence, look for something beautiful or odd in your surroundings, or it just comes to you, you might be surprised at what you might find.
sad write, but done well,
Amber Rose :)

That's beautiful! Every once in a while we find someone we simply cannot live without. You've expressed that well. Great job.

i am in a bit of a trance myself. My best friend and sister passed away about a year and a half ago and helped me overcome my first depression. I would've killed myself by now but because of her, I stayed. I'm going through some tough times now and I feel so lost without her. I don't know where I'm heading right now. I've written poems about how much I miss her and how important she was to me in my life. Best of luck to you in future Patterz
