  Social

Sons

Contributed by denson on Monday, 2nd October 2006 @ 08:11:04 PM in AEST
Topic: war

We are the sons of the greatest nation on earth!
We owe our greatness to those who came before us.
To those who carved out a foundation for the greatest social experiment in the history of man.
To those who made the experiment come to life, and to succeed.
To those who have defended this great experiment time and time again, and who have paid with their lives,
in order to fight back the oppressors and the attackers.
We owe our greatness to the wives and to the children,
who have sacrificed so much in the defense of this great nation, and democracy the world over.
We are American Soldiers!
We are the Sons of the greatest nation on earth,
and we are prepared to defend her with our lives.
So as maybe our Son's, won't have to!

You are doing too much in defending your nation; you are killing innocent people in Asia, causing the oppressed there to become suicide bombers and destroying humanity with all force.

I am causing them to become suicide bombers.? I am? How dare you! First of all, they are homocide bombers! Second of all the ones in the fight are zealots, not peace loving muslims! Thirdly, If people like you weren't so weak we probably wouldn't be at war right now.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
