Drowning

Contributed by Tabo on Monday, 2nd October 2006 @ 04:59:39 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

A dark blue liquid completely surrounds me,
which did not appear from an ocean or a sea,
but still its overwelming taste is customerily sour;
though I hardly notice in my struggle to be free
in this idle tussle, gasping, in my final hour.

The useless direction that I choose to swim,
while my tired lungs are filling to the brim,
it does not even seem to scarcly matter
seeing as my chances are just way to slim;
as I hear my dreams so loudly shatter.

Maturing, the liquid shifts to a murky black
and darker it grew with the more hope I did lack;
I notice now that the gloom had left me blind,
making me just a feeble turttle on his weary back
with the way to roll over elusive to my mind.

Helpless, and Hopeless it seems I shall remain,
for all my meager choices will, as always, be in vain.
My haggard limbs go slack, leaving me inept to try;
as my tears are washed away in this sea of pain,
I am drowning, waiting for the rest of me to die.

A brighter day is what I heard you say, that I need the most to stir my inner ghost. Though he does still live, it's hope he does not give. As I softly walk, I feel him swiftly staulk, to ensure my blight, and to impede my sight. I have asked him to leave, but in my mind he does weave, my inability to believe, that one day I may not greave... I do understand your comment, and I thank you for it. What I wrote in this comment, was the only response I could put to words. Thank you
