The Land of Seclusion

Contributed by kidnic on Sunday, 1st October 2006 @ 06:25:50 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

There's a land called Seclusion, where nobody's at,
But it took it some time to get there like that.
With walls so high, you'd look up forever
At the perfectly smooth cliffs that're quite an endeavor.
It reaches so far, the clouds, they all stay
All quite low, and spitefully in the way.
Atop this mountainous peak so hidden,
There exists one lonely soul who didn't
Realize the danger until it was too late
To escape the current result of his fate.
For it used to be low, clear, and alive,
Full of people and societies that thrive.
Connected by bridges, one is not trapped,
Until one day, the bridges all snapped.
And the lonely guy, he wasn't aware,
While all those around him were panicked and scared.
So everyone fled, because they had time to flee,
With the one man still sitting with an arm on his knee.
When he finally snapped out of it, he looked with surprise
At everything abandoned, and his immediate demise.
I guess what he's thinking, as he sits on the edge,
Is as indescribable as this man on the ledge.

Wow! Cool poem, kidnic!
I'm speechless!
I think I understand what this is about, but I wouldn't be able to explain to anyone except in the form of this poem.
Nicely written! Keep on going with it, kidnic!
You're great!
