I never want to be the one who brings you sadness
let that emotion rest exclusively with me.
I only wanted to share a few moments, and we did-
and it was everything I dreamt it would be.
From the bottom of my sunken heart, I
wish you a pleasant and safe departure.
I have no doubts, your destinations afar,
await you eagerly with anticipated pleasure.
I empathize, as I have waited too, in what seems to be forever.
If for no other reason, than excessive repetition,
I thank you, once again, for considering me a friend.
And if this is meant to be the end,
I will always think of you as a kind and gentle soul.
As I have, from the very first minute we met.

Jyss ~ I am entirely stuck on that second line ...
"let that emotion rest exclusively with me."
wow ... exclusively with me...
perfectly put, my friend. And how many of us have thought
something to that effect, at one time or another?
God, I can't get over that line. It's just ..
huge-
humbled and awed ~
