The Postcard

Contributed by Jyssvw on Thursday, 28th September 2006 @ 07:15:39 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I never want to be the one who brings you sadness
let that emotion rest exclusively with me.
I only wanted to share a few moments, and we did-
and it was everything I dreamt it would be.

From the bottom of my heart, I
wish you a pleasant and safe departure.
I have no doubts, your destinations afar, await
you eagerly with anticipation.
I await for something similar too.

If for no other reason, than excessive repetition,
I thank you, again, for considering me a friend.
And if this is meant to be the end,
I will always think of you as a kind and gentle soul.
As I have, from the first day we met.

The title fit this piece very well. As I was reading, I imagined it as a short goodbye letter, but could imagine these words on a postcard as well.

Kudo's for a great write,
