You hover around me like a ghost
And I lose my self-control again.
You’re the negative entity that whispers in my ear.
You put the blame on me
And I swallow the guilt until I choke.
A misguided sense of chivalry keeps me close to you.
I am however the key to your ruin.
For I know too much about your declivities.
I know the dark alleys of your mind
Like the back of my hand.
And if I would share your secrets with the world
Damnation would tumble down on you.
I should let you take the dive.
Make you look into the abyss.
Push you over the edge and never look back.
But you say that you are lost without me.
And with those words you make a prison of my life.
