Grim games with dolls and soldiers
As the feathers change colors
With each flight above the clouds
A sense of urgency is rained out
Wolf-like under sheep’s clothing
The bare-backed man is cold on the inside
With nothing keeping him from making a fool out of himself
He is only those things he is seen for when he speaks
The hazy yellow vault is full of echoing shouts
Screams of surrender heard in those heads without ears
Pardoned from himself he separates out all his desires and fears
The split of personable and distasteful leaves only the unpleasant
More characteristic of a fragrance with the scent of crushed roses
