It smelled of darkness in the room
And there was not much light to be for
Out the window mountain field was dark
And running in the field was no longer happening there
The ribbons and bows had probably fallen and blown away with a wind gust
But you can't tell because it's dark
And the sun set too
And all life runs out one day
Jock Phillips is in the mirror now
Looking in the eyes and tells him
Happy times in the field are dead
The mountain backdrop is fell and ugly
Scary sometimes too
Next morning when the sun rises
Jock Phillips will look out that window there
Run across the field and up the mountain too
Find a big cliff rock to jump off and end his life
Happy times are over for Jock Phillips
Maybe the sun will still lift the morning fog off a field in the distant somewhere
And good will continue to happen maybe
Jock Phillips is probably dead

Now, Jock Phillips, that was just a tad creepy and scary. Again you refer to yourself almost as if you are another. .....ah maybe you long to be. *smiles* I hope this is merely just some shock write and not you contemplating something real damn dumb. Nothing can be fixed or understood or taken care of when YOUR DEAD. Stay well and keep writing, Jock Phillips. (I noticed while typing that I couldn't help but say your name in some serious though ridiculous accent) Intriguing brother, you are.
Peace, Laura |

A bit deep Jock, but loads of thought went into it. Is it about death or reinvention,Your poetry has improved so much . Keep up the good work. Well on a final note, Jock I don't really like reading suicide poetry, but I did make the effort, just to see how you are doing. Take care . Sue x |
