Since You Left Me

Since you left me...
Things haven't been the same!
Since you left me I've been in so much pain!
I've been alone...
Since you left me, and without a home!
No one knows how sad I feel,
only you know that it's real, but your not here!
This is exactly what I feared, being alone without you...
My teacher and my example of the way everything is supposed to be...
And this is how I feel since you left me!!!
She's gone...no more lessons, no more progressions...
and now all on my own...
It's not the best way to learn,
but now I'm exactly where you said I would be...,
when I would understand...
Begin new lessons on my own and start to plan,
Make my own life and maybe even one day become a wife!
Since you left me...
I thought for the longest times that it was always my fault...
was I not good enough, did I not care for you enough...
and Mom since you left me life sure is tough!!!
You caught me by surprise...
The day before my birthday...
This was our last goodbye...
What else can I say...
I guess it just had to be this way...
Not the best!!!...
Especially being Cancer to your breasts...
Therapy sure was rough..., but she took it like a champ!
her rosary I took by the lamp, held it for long and never let it go...
Still till this day I would like to know?
Why my birthday?
and Did she have something else to say?
A white rose, I should have known...
I was bringing her a white rose.!.
how could I have not known...
a sign of peace,
and I stay begging please!!!
Don't go!, Stay a while I promise I'll be a good child!
Instead mom...
you left me...
and I've been sad since...
Since you left me...
I pray to have just one last hug and one last kiss...
tell you how much I miss you, and to be able to hear your voice again...
You are my Mom, but since you left me...
I've been so alone...
I love you mom,
I just wish you could come home...
A kiss from me to you,
Cause that's what I would do
If I ever had another moment with you!!!

This tugs at my heart.... I lost my grandpops last Tuesday...
I can tell you... that if you feel them in your heart
And remember thier lessons they have tought you
they never really leave... Hold your mom in your heart...
and know she didn't want to leave you... The timing
of her leaving will only draw you closer...
I still talk to my grandpops...It helps me cope...
And I swear I can hear him answer...

My heart is with you and I pray for you...

Bill

This is sad yet so beautifull. It reminds me of one I first wrote when my mom passed over 25 years ago.
I think as it being one day before your birthday that your birthday should represent new birth.
Also the one thing I yearned for was just one more hug. Mom came to me in dreams at first and I now know her as one of my many guardian angels. Now when she wants me to know she's here trying to communicate with me I find one of her hair pins. I use to do her hair. Now my dad ( that passed ten years ago)does things more dramatic like making a can fly up off a shelf right in front of me. As our guardian angels they have supernatural powers.
Very beautifull writing and I'm so sorry for your loss as I can so relate.
lluv, huggs, strength,
emy
