Surface
Under the placid surface
What slumbers?
Appearance isn’t everything
But who can see what is below?
Who can protect the fragile state,
That lives beneath the superficial face
Emotions swim freely
But are over crowded with fake smiles
The phrase I don’t want to talk about it
Dives into many ears
As crimson colored eyes
Wade through life
