Our silence. (for the dead)

The sufferer, come to me in my sleep, resonates, screams-vast and smaller, inferior screams coming together as two lovers come together for the first time, a caution forced aside by passion, an invigorating collision of form and flesh consuming the initial timidity- envelops my dreams.
I am clenched jowl fighting the realization; I cannot begin to comprehend the amount of life lost, and yet I am unmoved, unable to withstand the burden of the truth.
Therefore, it is that I hide behind the lie of my smile and deny the convictions of my heart, and stay silent.
For the 12, 603 dead;
We chose to remain silent.
