The rain

Contributed by nothingness on Friday, 22nd September 2006 @ 08:30:15 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

A lonley girl stands all alone
She stands on a hill made of stone
She stares at the darkened sky
As she stands there and begins to cry
Tears that fall steadily from her eyes
Match the rain now falling from the skies
The rains so pure bringing life
Her tears so sad showing her strife
The tears echoing all of her pain
Comforting the girl is the gentle rain
It washes away the feelings of fear
The rain helps mask the falling tear
It shows the girl that there is hope
That it will be there to help her cope
Its whispers to her as it hits the ground
So quiet yet so loud is its sound
As the tears begin to slowly cease
The rain lets up leaving her at peace
The girl now stands with her head held high
As she silently thanks the rain and sky
