As the cloud of war comes into view for all to see,
Many would take arms to fight in a futile plea,
As you watch everything you have come to love and know burn to the ground around you,
The very weapon you have called to save you has now destoryed you,
That weapon is your faith,
That faith is your hate,
Now you see,
God cannot be.

| I would not consider myself an aetheist but it is true to imply that religion or faith has been the cause of many a war or acts of violence. Taking into account the current climate: Thought provoking, topical and an all round excellent poem. Thank you. |
