Armageddon

Topic: DarkPoetry

Arageddon by Tyler Gardiner

I know that life is done
When the dark blots out the sun
When the wicked surpass the good
When what we do differs from what we should

A barren wasteland has taken place
Where I had seen a child's face
A face of kindness, joy, and glee
A memory swept out to sea

Prior to this ghastly fate
There stood structures tall and great
Too ignorant to see the trouble
Their cities cast into the rubble

Our future here is rather bleak
The last life ending with a shriek
Their constricted lungs filled with smoke
While earth itself, victim of a stroke

Our ashes scorch the ground
The tie to life almost unwound
The toxin that is man sinks deeper
Its now our time to meet the Reaper
