For My Dear Sweet Mother....
A porcelain house of trust,
Demolished.
Shattered little pieces,
Torn down by lies.
See me as you may,
Abolished.
Ripped from existence,
From the ones I loved.
See me as I'm not,
Accepted.
Pride swept over your face,
With a look of greed.
I see you as you are,
Cruel.
Pushing all away,
Expecting more of my pain.
I see you as you aren't,
Affectionate.
A hand held out for help,
I break it at the wrist.
You watch me walk away,
Astonished.
Wondering why I came,
Wasting your time again.
You'll see me again someday,
Deceased.
When we both lie below,
Buried in the depths of this...

Wow, as always, full of emotion and very interesting. I love the defiance of the piece, essentially saying go to hell, I'm never coming back....great write, i dug it. |
