Black Book Of Memories

Contributed by Wicked on Sunday, 28th July 2002 @ 04:32:18 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

My little black book of memories are all up in my head
I dont let them out for others to pry or to presume dead
You see with all good memories in my life i can say
Ten fold the bad ones out number the good days

I sit and close my eyes to the light where at peace i live in the dark
As i cherish each good memory i forget all the bad as if a walk in the park
You see for the good can outshine and bring the best of feelings
And make my mind once again think of how things can be again

A soft noise, a slight scurry, brings me back to reality
And as i slowly open my eyes, i smile,,,,and think of the previous
My little black book ill close you now to open again soon
Hold my memories tight and close, soon itll all be good.

I like this a lot...I feel I can relate. Except for the whole being able to forget the bad memories and remember the good ones thing. I've never quite caught on to how people do that...but great poem.

you just have to hope that as more good memories come into your life they will push out the bad ones.
lovely write, quite an interesting thought.
