One soul

Topic: LovePoetry

We became man and wife,
I thought that we would be one,
We argued and wondered why,
We came together at all.

I remember when we wanted to end it,
Seemed like every day to me.
But then something special happened,
Love became a reality.

I stood by you when you wasn't looking,
I heard your every word,
I gave in alot to give to you,
I done without in this world.

I done what I could do to please you,
Sometimes it wasn't enough,
You made me mad each day it passed,
Then sunshine came inside our door.

A time had to pass to get over things,
We waited for the new.
Then we became one,
No longer two.

Now I don't want to go anywhere without you,
Now you stay on my mind,
Now your in my heart forever,
Even when there is no more time.

Your my heart,
My soul,
My delight,
I am glad your my husband,
I am so glad I am your wife.

( Charles and I are both 40 yrs old. We have been married for 21 yrs now. Been a rough road but after the rocks and the pits there is a smooth road, a road where you don't see the rocks but pebbles, where you don't see pits but crevices.)

Wonderful poem, reminds me my life; there is always a light of hope at the other side of a dark tunnel. So does in our life some times it seems so dark and hopeless but when you brave through the dark cold tunnel of life you will find the light of hope that you had always desired for. Friend your poem did touch my heart.
FRANCO
