Do you know?
Do you know you haunt my dreams?
My thoughts?
My soul?

Do you see the things I write and draw?
And feel scared of my heart?
I wish I knew...
I wish I could see what you are feeling...
What you are thinking...

Do you see the sadness in my eyes..
When I check my email...
And see you didn't reply?

Do you see the pain behind my smile?
When I pass you in the hall?
Or when you wave as I drive by?

Do you see the knife?
The knife that digs itself deeper in my heart...
In my soul...
When you smile at me?

I know I'm not cool...
I know I'm not thin or pretty or popular...
I know you hide our friendship...
Around all your other "friends"

So do you see the hurt I feel
When I look upon your beautiful face?
When I smile back at you?
When my heart beats fast at your presence?

No...
You don't see...
You don't know...
You don't feel the same as me

"Do you see the knife?" Was my favorite line.
