Apologize not for pleasure

People say I am selfish, vain
for death and darkness are my game
but what others simply cannot bear
is that I find beauty seemingly not there
When dark skies fall and stars appear
I feel as if I'm truly here
the silhouettes of shadows fall
and I can hear the whispers call
Fear not the things you cannot see
for hidden loves reside in thee
my heart's alive and I have found
it sings its joy to the world around
The moon enhances what sunlight dulls
a patch of flowers seems to lull
I lay my head for peacefull sleep
for all the darkness my heart does beat.

Death and darkness, don't mean dull and horrible. We all see things in our own way. Good write, I enjoyed reading it. Sue x |
