Inspired by Jen (one day)

I left yesterday, yesterday
And now I’m in tomorrow today
Tomorrow if I wake, means today has gone
Today is yesterday, in just one day
And next week, or next month
Time will make that go away
If I ever get a day to keep
It’ll be another day, in another week
And I’ll say, some day
Boy that was the good old day
‘Till then, I guess I’ll just live one day at a time
If I could pick it, it would be
Tomorrow’s yesterday,
On a day like today
If only it would stay, today
And stop going away (like yesterday, and the day before!)
In ten more minutes
This will be ten minutes ago
It’s no wonder where the days all go
They pass away like this second just did
And there it goes again!
Though some days seem to never end
Today gives tomorrow the right to begin
That’s what yesterday did for today
But it won’t begin until today’s end
Course, by then it’ll be to late
And time, oh you monster
You’ve done it once again!
Some day I’ll get you back
But not this day
Maybe yesterday, I’ll do it today
Now damned! that’s slipped away
