Kid The Skunk

This is the story of Kid the skunk
He smelled so bad Pete called him funk
He always bathed and brushed his teeth
Yes, a very good boy did lie beneath

He went to school each and everyday
but when recess came he wouldn’t play
He was teased so bad, it made him sad
Poor Kid the skunk was a lonely lad

Then one day he found a friend
A cute little skunk named Lori Trend
She was pretty and very sweet
but was also teased by little Pete!

Little Pete was mean, awful and rude
Indeed a bitter and hateful dude
But Kid, and Lori didn’t care
Together they made a happy pair.

Then one Monday after school
Kid the skunk saw something cruel
Little Petes dad did something bad
He called Pete a loser and a useless lad.

Kid disliked Pete until this day
It all made sense in a hurtful way
He understood why Pete was cruel
His dad was mean and a careless fool

Kid the skunk has a wonderful dad
Warm and loving even when mad
But Pete, he couldn’t say the same
so he made fun of Kid and caused him shame

Now Kid the skunk knows why bullies bull
Now he knows why Pete was cruel
Kid never wanted to be called a name
and little Petes dad is the one to blame

Such a shame, such a shame...
