Del Corazón

Topic: LovePoetry

Heart and mind, senorita
Body and soul, bonita
That’s what I offer to you,
What I ask for in return

Your Gypsy eyes, on fire
As your limbs embrace desire
While you dance the dance of passion,
As you spin me into dreams

Your aspect, bathed in sweet glow
As you weave le grand flamenco
While you melt me with your beauty,
As you bind me to the dance

Heart and soul, bonita
Body and mind, senorita
That’s what I lay before you,
What I hope for in return.

*The title is Spanish for 'from the heart'.

Aye! Que lucido, Spikito!!!!

I absolutely adore this!!! The pic is absolutely divine and your words accompany it soooo perfectly! I love the rhyme scheme, the flow, the essence and pure and perfect adoration on display here! My word, this is most certainly something!

I have been to a number of places where the Spanish language, in all its undeniable beauty!, has surrounded me and left me utterly enraptured by its sound and culture. And I have (I am so very lucky!) been so blessed as to bear witness to the dance... I'll never forget one glorious evening in Seville, Spain when I sat - perfectly mesmerized - watching, listening, feeling le grande flamenco. Ah, that our lives might include such passionate moments on a routine basis --- es mi soñar lo más verdadero!!!!

Beautiful, dear poet... absolutely, brilliantly beautiful! Well done, amigo!

I agree with snems, spikerdoodle!!

The picture casts a thousand sentiments and you
have captured many of the more beautiful ones here.
Such a lovely, lovely read as (again in agreement
with snems), the rhymes are like a dance themselves
and the verses, the rhythm in which they dance. It's
completely perfect. I was reminded of dirty dancing
[The sequel] in reading this. It was stunning, (all of it!).
I find it a most relative adjective to this piece, dear poet.

Definitely softly stirring and very passionate!

Exceptionally done~
~Breezy
