Here I am, another day has passed.
What could be left for this crazy man?
The hand has been dealt, the die cast.
What really will be the end?
I sit here wondering what I have left to give,
my heart is shattered, my mind in a race.
What is my purpose to live,
to try and keep up with the pace?
There's another world out there, I know.
What's the point of it? Why does the light glow?
Time stand still, cold air blows across me.
What is my reason to be?
The past comes and goes, time works it's way,
I tell you now, to do what you may.
I miss you, and that hurts more than the gun,
but I can't turn away, I can't run.
I must face my demons face to face,
to continue along my journey,
just to finish the race.
I do miss you now,
but that will pass someday, somehow.
Until then, I wish you all the best.
But now I am tired,
I'm going to take my rest.
