Sandalwood

Sing me to sleep this night dear Rosalie.
For I do like to listen close to you.
Strum thy soft guitar gently sweet for me
and play an English ballad old or new.

Caress then my brow, whisper secrets low
down into my ear oh fair bon ami.
Nirvana hold less peace than being so
reclined upon your cushioned deep settee.

Come place your tender rose lips close to mine
Your subtle light perfume is sandalwood.
There’s no earth, only you and I am thine.
Let me extinguish light with candlehood.

Your guitar lies on side and waits anew
for eyes to open seeing morning’s dew.

This is a beautifull lullabye. Do you always write this good??? If so, you are a master and I bow to you.... It was THAT good! I almost drifted off into lalla land just reading it. Excellent write, this should be a classic! (after you're dead of course!)
I'd like to take a quote out of this, as an example of what I relly liked about it, But I'd have to quote the whole darned thing!

thats really beautiful. quite quite pretty.
it flows so wonderfully.
im really really impressed , thats a real gem of a poem.
my favorite is the third stanza.
each time i read it , it speaks to me , thats what poems should do to the reader.
