I Want To Thank You

Times have not always been this great,
My past sometimes felt like an empty abandoned state,
But I kept my grip, I kept my face,
I waited patiently for you and I to embrace,

I may have fears of you diminishing from my side,
Sometimes that anxiety can make me cry,
But you must know I have never been loved this high,
Without you as my soul mate, I would wither and die,

You make me strong where I have been weak,
You have vowed my hand to always keep,
You calm my monsters when we sleep,
You give me life, and a purpose for my heart to beat,

You’re my best friend, true and one,
You’re my desires, my air, my sun,
Your eyes depict your soul and love,
You were sent to me from above,

I truly believe in our life,
I was never so proud when you said yes to be my wife,
You have honor, charisma, beauty and strife,
Together we can move mountains with our power and our might,

I want to thank you for the joy you bring,
I want to thank you for blue skies and dreams,
I want to thank you for stars and streams,
I want to thank you for everything!

Just wanted to clafiy that the word strife used in my poem is intended to be read as one of the Antonyms: cooperation, harmony, peace, success, victory. I did not mean it in a negative meaning:)
