Ionic A Majore Tripody
Don't leave lass, but stay thy near start - I don't care how.
Fair maid, this boon I seek, dear love, hold thee this hand.
Thy gentle hand's so beautiful, most shapely and soft.
Safe we are from wide eyes in this high comfy loft.
Deign thee not to leave me for strong my passion is.
Lay thy head down, stay close to this my forehead' s brow.
Chaste virtue becomes thee, dear lass, I make a bow.
Thy modesty I see, Ruth, doth show simply well.
Take thy quick adieu after a wee wine's been quaffed.
You'll marvel at taste after its bouquet's been waft.
Great wine should look, my darling Ruth, noteworthy marked.
See wine's red blush, old wine with good sweet taste, and now
seek ease on this chaise longue that's soft, fair maid, if thou
might so wish, and we'll toast the gods' great judgement loud.
We'll praise them for thy beauty full, aye seen not oft.
Right doing and by being just, I'm very prow.
My mind doth race great with love; I make this vow:
Stay thy near start, maid, I will then buy thee a toft.
My darling, Ruth, be certain it won't be a croft.

Each poem of yours is something special to look forward, Laurie to and this is no exception.
