Storm

Out of a lumpy grey,
Tinted with sorrow,
The rain fires down.
Steady beat,
Without a sign
Of letting up.
The tears fall,
Crying for me.
With every drop,
Another reason
To long for you.
A puddle shaped
As a mushy heart,
I try to picture your face.
A drip splatters,
My heart shatters,
The image disappears.
I swim through the drops
And dodge the daggers
Falling among.
I'm drowning in this storm
Of rage and tears.
Drowning in my bleeding heart,
Getting washed away.
Salty slaps of reality
Sting my heart
On an open wound.
These street signs
Point me down to Hell.
My heart's already ablaze,
Fighting against
The burning tears.
Lies and fantasies
Sweaped away
By heavy waves
Of honest tears.
Truths revealed
Pure and weak.
The rain's gone on
Days on end.
Regret drizzles in
And floods my empty heart.
This fierce rage pours
Down and down.
Hazardous.
Threatening.
Treacherous.
Without a stop
The anguish will win.
But you're the only one
That can end this storm
And you don't even
Know it's raining.

I like the style that this poem was written in but not the length of it so much |
