I love this place!
I can’t believe I found this place
A place where we can all relate
I have read so many good lines
My mind is reeling
Oh such feelings
Laid bare
Such a vulnerable thing to do
And yet you do it
The cost to you?
Who knows the pain you bear
As you write it out
And your soul is bared...
For me, it’s an outlet
Where I can splay
My silly announcements
And my ridiculous tirades
But the folks here listen
And hear my useless screams
And put up with the
Things that I bleed
Poetically, laid out
Metaphorically
There’s no doubt
Some of the best
Here lay themselves out
Silly at times, serious rhymes
It all comes out so clear
When they all need an ear to hear…
And isn’t it great to know
That you and I are here!!!
And what’s with that freggin mosquito???
Ohhhh so lets celebrate our brethren
Let anyone who wants to, write in
And let them all show their emotional needs
Or just drivel in their own style
But oh how sweet
When someone so complete
Gives poetry so sweet and sublime!
And what a treat
For us who get to read
The results
No matter how crazy or wild
Yes this place
Is home to all who’s wild
And serves a purpose
That lets us show the child
The child within
We want to hide
Because we all have that
Intensity inside
In one big breath
We sell our souls
To those who read in-depth
And then criticize
They do this just by reading
And in comments there’s no reply
And that is just as painful
As the silence
That screams between the lines
We wonder where we went wrong
A criticism would have sufficed
And saved our vulnerable hearts
From a whole lot of strife
And maybe helped us out
But simply left us full of doubt
But that’s what this place
Is all about
Err, isn’t it?

err, well I think it means something different to us all. I've been here right at six years , give or take so that speaks for itself.
It's home to me.
I ddo so appreciate Mick from the bottom of my heart for providing a place for my writing then to now.

Glad that your here with us, loved this poem.
Iv been here along time also and yes its a great place to be thanks to Mick and our wonderful mods who have made it all possible and the beautiful friends and poets that are here!

| So true man, I only found this place about 3 weeks ago, and I'm loving it. No longer do I have to just keep journals that no one will see, I can just click submit and share. Good poem, you said it all. |
