Blind Eyes See- Patriot Act
Raped by the government. Our minds, our bodies, our souls, Ripped open for their Pleasure. Their rights raised to new measure, Our rights reduced to nothing. They say it will Protect us, Shield us, From the Iraqis, the Afghanis, the Chinese, The Commies, all of our, Enemies. But is this true? Will our privacy being destroyed save us? What happened to the Civil rights, the unwritten trust? Violation screams in my mind,
When they search through all of, Mankind. My blind eyes see again, As they ravage my soul. Now they have all the control. Our fathers fought for our rights, The right to freedom, the right to privacy. But now, my blind eyes see.

I agree very much with your poetry here. Americans are being made to fear every friggen thing, and "they'' give up their rights, to be "protected" from the bad guys. (who, personally, I think is Mr. Bush himself)
Thanks for sharing.
Peace, Laura |
