Dreams of you

Topic: FriendshipPoetry

Dreams of you

When I’m down you pick me up
If I’m drowning bring me up
There’s never ever been
Someone like you
All my sorrow, you drink the cup
My heart laid bare you cover it up
You are the breeze
That blows in times of need

(chorus)
So you’re my life
(2 and 3: you were my life)
My heart, my soul, my strife
A shoulder I can bleed on
(And time and time again)
You lead me to my end
And you know I can’t pretend

I want to be near you my friend…
(2 that I can ever be near you once again)
(3 Once again my friend!!!!)
(The ending: once, only once, just let me one more time! Be with you my friend…. I want to be with you my friend…. Be with, be with you! My friend………)

My field’s lay bare, nothing grew
And suddenly I met you
You raised me up
On mountains high
You told me I could touch the sky
You never ever let me question why
The only thing you left to me…
Was crying
And now you’re gone and deep inside…. I’m dying...
(chorus 2)

Why is life, as mean as that
Give us gifts, then take ‘em back
When all I wanted was a perfect friend like you
Like a mist of magic, you appeared
And then too painfully you left
Leaving us Oh sooo bereft
But you took your gift away along with you
And there’s nothing I can doooo ooowuoOooohhhh…
(chorus 3)
