Five years today, since the Twin Towers fell.
five years since the suffering and hell,
I hope today your spare a thought,
for the people who died and the misery it brought..

Glad to see some remembrance today. Personally I thought this site would be flooded by poems expressing their outrage, grief, honouring those lost. But no, just a few pretty flowers like this one. Is five years too long for a country to grieve, or too little, with emotions still too raw?
All I can say is that I inadvertantly watched the attack on live cable tv 5 yrs ago, and its become one of those 'where were you when...' days that I wish I could forget.

Such a smile yet thought-provoking poem
Good on you for remembering and writing about such an awful day in history.
