lost happiness

Happiness is leaking out,
escaping through every breath,
laying in each tear.
I can feel it,
I do not want it to go,
but I feel it leaving my soul.
A smile that used to shine often,
hurts a little worse each time.
Laughing is forced,
not longer genuine,
and cheerfulness has vanished.
It seeped through my skin,
and left me,
a left me here,
a body,
walking through each day,
getting through each day,
as fast as I can,
to put it in the past.
I watch all of them,
my friends,
so happy,
so content,
but I cannot reach it.
I cannot reach them,
I am stuck on the outside,
I am on the other side of the window,
looking in,
longing to open it,
but I cannot,
for it is glued shut,
and I fear,
that this lost happiness,
will never be found.

happiness is found inside your heart and not in people or things. so just keep that in mind. about the write, i liked it, strong, fast moving, it was good. keep going!
