My insecurities eat me alive
Feeding on the person I long to be.
I try so hard to ignore it,
but the feeling seethes.
From every ounce, every part of me.
I know I need help, but responsibility
doesn't allow that time.
So in my journey; my true self;
I ache to find.

This line----> " My insecurities eat me alive
Feeding on the person I long to be " if i read nothing else 2 day or if this line were the whole poem i'd still give 5 stars for sincerity, and don't wory about short or long poems, oh and one more thing, i can relate very well with your opening line of this poem. truly a perfect little write, filled with honesty and emotial will. take care . . .
also thank you for the comment deeply appreciated . . .
