Short Sighted.
All women in my life have had
a daughter whose needs take
preference to mine. Being
a childless man how am I to
understand this sacred bond.
In a fit of resentful, silent rage
I set sail and hope to fine a haven
just for me. When I do find
a tranquil bay a sleek clipper,
with torn sails, always appears.
When I, a misty day, set sail
again in a sea that leaves no
traces, a clipper won the race.
