Sickness

Day by day,
I wonder.
Wonder if my sickness will take over.
My asthma.
Taking over my body.
Not able to breathe.
Not able to control.

Night by night,
I stare into the darkness for an answer.
An answer that I have been seeking since I have been diagnosed this sickness.

This sickness.
This has no cure.
Sometimes I wonder if there is no hope.
Sometimes I wonder if my time is now.

I can't stop fighting.
Fighting for my life.
I can beat this sickness if I keep fighting.

Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.
