Cold Ocean Winds

Wild southern winds blow
cold ocean air
across my arms and neck
and it dawns on me –
this doesn’t matter
another conversation lost
to the next ‘reality’ show
and the warmth
in the eyes if the opposite sex
frayed! stripped in misconception –
this doesn’t matter
I turn to my bare arms
hairs dance; on edge
wild southern winds blow
cold ocean air
this faint and lonely day –
yet, I smile.

Ya know, I really liked this. The brevity of it is wonderful, in the fact you say so very much, in so very few words.
I loved this line....
I turn to bare arms
hairs dance: on edge
Very peaceful and calming write. Thanks for sharing.
Peace, Laura
