as the day closes out
and the night beckons near
I breathe the darkness
And am one with the fear
thoughts are sharp, and all senses keen
what things we might find
from the darkest truths I glean
night brings hidden associations and meaning
my eyes have been open,
but it is now I am truly seeing
the phases of her silver white moon light
in crazes of violent lust;
I pilfer the night
the unfathomable passion pulling in my soul
the exileration of letting go, and losing all control
Lust for truth, hidden in the shadows
breadth of vision, anything but narrow
the beauty that the nocturnal unlocks
I say to thee : carpe intempestata nox
