Cocaine

My only friend left,
Is my worst enemy,
Welcomed intruder,
Heed my desperate plea.
‘Twas love at first sight,
That night years ago,
Then fiery romance,
But now you must go.
That night at that party,
I recall your fine smell,
Everyone lusted,
But with me you did dwell.
Fair, pretty princess
My beautiful muse,
Whenever I’m with you,
I know I can’t lose.

You were always with me,
When we were apart,
I still truly loved you,
Though you broke my heart.
On and off romance,
There and then gone,
I tried others often,
You were always the one.
Fair, pretty princess,
My beautiful muse,
You smiled upon me,
The lost and confused.

Whenever I’s with you,
My heart’d palpitate,
I could feel no pain,
I knew it was fate.
We’d stay up till morning,
We’d chat and we’d rue,
Everything that once mattered,
All I needed was you.
You never did leave me,
Throughout all the bad,
Elated to greet you,
With you I’d be glad
My friends grew to loathe me,
‘Cause I loved you more,
The new friends I made,
Were all friends of yours.
Fair, pretty princess,
My beautiful muse,
I know that I love you,
But I’m feeling used.

Slowly but swiftly,
You pilfered from me,
Pawned my possessions,
And left your debris.
Gradually poisoned,
My body and mind,
I searched for a meaning,
I could never find.
You hurt me the most,
While I mentally napped,
I thought I was perfect,
And need not adapt.
Fair, pretty princess,
My beautiful muse,
Though I want to be with you,
I can’t take this abuse.

You never would leave me,
You stood by my side,
And tried hard to kill me,
You tried and you tried.
But now I’ve moved on,
And you too, I’m sure,
To the next lost young man,
In search of a cure.
I still bare the scars,
Of time that we spent,
My body is broken,
My soul it is bent.
On our final meeting,
Superego meets id,
A life spent without you?
I’m only a kid.
I’m tired of shaking,
And near heart attacks,
Get out of my life,
And don’t ever come back!
Oh, vile wretched c_nt
Venom gilded with chrome,
It sucked while it lasted,
Leave me the **** alone.

What can I say about cocain? It is a monster! I struggled for years with a cocain addiction, and your poem spoke to me. No bs, just straight facts, and I loved it, man!

She still calls to me in my dreams, and often my user friends come crawling, which makes it hard to stay away. You got war to fight man, and then which each victory in battle, you slowly begin to win the war.

Good luck to you, and fantastic write!
