Silent Words Spoken

Grief
|
Staring out the window once again,
watching the day pass,
I have nothing to say.
My thoughts come rushing through too fast to comprehend,
so I'll sit and stare,
wondering why
I...
just...
can't...
get...
it...
together.
I'm a mere blank in society.
I have no opinions,
no questions,
no care about the world...
I'm a void within a void.
My unfelt feelings floating in waves.
My written words scream,
and you may hear,
though doubtful...
They don't scream that loud
for fear of drawing attention to myself.
Staring out the window once again...
watching the day pass,
I have nothing to say,
except...
I'm waiting for you to unlock my soul,
to see me as I am,
silent, meek and humble,
that my written word speaks louder than my spoken word.
My sighs are my words spoken
and my heartbreak is on this page.

I liked this one a lot, Rhia. You sound so empty, but there is beauty in emptyness, and a longing in recognition. I feel your words deeply, and they make me sad, but they also allow me to see your beauty, along with a hearty sting to the senses.
Thank you for sharing this...it was beautiful!
Much Love, |
