We’re all scared to death…
Waiting, holding our breath…
Why does this take place…
When there is fear in every face…
All for one man’s greed…
And one bad seed…
Just 2 teams…
And though it seems…
Two head coaches…
Kick off approaches…
Both teams get ready…
Not calm but steady…
The whistle blows…
And the field light glows…
Both teams charge…
The games at large…
This game lasts hours…
The fresh air sours…
The game now ends…
And the judging begins…
No victory just death…
A sigh of relief and one last breath…

| Brave people they are, I wrote a poem about the soldiers who were shot at dawn for desertion in world war 1. We will never know what fear or bravery these people face, unless we were to walk in their shoes. Sue x |

| wonderfully written with great rhyming patterns, however my favourite line is 'All for one man’s greed…And one bad seed', this explains War. Excellent poem. |
