Behold a small, white island,
A musical king reigns.
How oft he sings,
His voice can tame.
The wild people run about,
But they stop to listen.
His music melts their hearts,
Their eyes begin to glisten.
A rough, unruly maiden,
Tosses her golden hair.
Hurt by men of many,
She’s defiant like the air.
He kneels to her view,
And touches her pale face.
His eyes like ice and fire,
His fingertips like lace.
He opened his mouth,
He began to sing and dance.
The wild maiden,
She was in a trance.
He spoke of coming a’shore,
Coming to a new world.
But life seemed better,
After he met one girl.
She hoped it was her,
And loved him forever.
Though he did not say,
But she knew they would be together.
