A Haunting Tale

Contributed by jerseysue on Sunday, 3rd September 2006 @ 02:28:17 PM in AEST
Topic: mystical

She watched the shadows on the wall,
Heard the rustling on the stair,
Rattling of chains could be heard,.
But no one can she see there,

She heard whispering in the corridors,
But still no one can she see here,
The room it turns a deathly cold,
It fills her full of fear

Then from the corner of her eye,
An Orb is seen to float,
A scream wells up inside her,
But it sticks within her throat

Then a ghostly hand upon her face,
Bring tears too her fearful eyes,
And a voice whispers in her ear,
I have missed you, It is I!

She peers into the darkness,
And then got such a fright,
A flash of lighting struck,
And the room it filled with light,

And standing in front of her,
Stood a man she had not seen for a while,.
The fear that showed upon her face,
Was replaced now with a smile,

It was her dearly departed husband,
The one who had left her so alone,
He said, at last we are to be reunited,
I have come to bring you home,

So this is a love story,
That goes beyond the pale,
A love that was eternal,
Because it was a haunting tale.
