Sitting on the shore watching the waves churn…
Feeling the love and the things I can learn…
I hold them in my heart so tight…
And know these feelings are so right…
The thought of joy comes over me…
And I quickly become so very free…
The seagulls soaring up above…
My heart so full of love…
I watch the sun set over the ocean…
And the peacefulness starts in motion…
The wave crash against the shore…
I have no worries anymore…
On my lips, I feel the warm salt air…
Instantly I feel for what I care…
White caps crashing into each other…
My mind wanders very much further…
Walking along the white sandy beach…
I think of things that nature can teach…
The seagulls teach us freedom…
That we feel so very seldom…
The sunset so beautiful…
Makes us so grateful…
The sounds of crashing waves…
Gives us the peace that God gave…
Take these words I give you…
And know I wish I were there too…

This is what I do sometimes on my day off. I sit and watch the waves. Nature in all its glory.
Your poem does give a feeling of serenity, but also a feeling of loneliness, or have I misinterprated it. Well wether or not I have, I thought it was a wonderful poem. Sue x |
