A Gift

Topic: InspirationalPoems

I have come to realize,
I should value each day, I open my eyes,
you can get lost in depression,
our lives are a gift, a treasured possession,

it does not matter what you lack,
there's much more joy in giving back,
if you can make, just one person smile,
it makes you know its all worth while,

they say its better to give then recieve,
this I truly do believe,
in this life theres sadness, there's sorrow,
none of us can plan tomorrow.

we all have so much to give,
we were given this life, for us to live,
so make each day a special one,
pretend your life has just begun...

This is lovely! What a wonderful message.

A nice idea, too. ;)

I love the upbeat attitude of this. It's nice to see on a site that has so many negative submissions.

Great write.

*hugs*

Beautiful! Such words of wisdom Lillyjane. With 365 days in a year we should try and make each one special and sharing and giving to others will always make their day as well as our own a good one. When you make others smile you can't help but smile yourself. I love this poem Lillyjane, it truly is inspirational.

A heartfelt, optimistic piece. Selflessness does tend to lift the heart.
