Taking one for the team

Topic: toughstuff

I remember as a child
im gonna be this or that
So young, energetic it was obtainable
life took my train a diffrent track

Two kids , no wife
juggling bills to get right
how can i get more money?
befor i sleep each night

friend say "why complain some are worst off"
do the more furtunate fear my location, when they turn and toss?
I go to my nothing job, feeling so lost
its hard when the smallest purchase a matter of cost

kids in my ear " daddy lets play"
but im just so tired from working all day
Yeah! i get a paycheck
i work hard , a purpose in defeat
Still gotta hustle up side work, to make the ends meet.

I've skipped nights of dinner
just to provide as bread winner
missed meals, lack of sleep to fatt'n pockets, but my body gettn thinner
imma crafty veteran of this grind, with no compassion for beginers

I can show you magic the way i handle bills
big time bargain shopper, I hunt for the deals
In winter, heat's just enuff to knock off the chills
when i do sleep, things are good blue skies, grass green hills
All to wake up and back to the real

the kids just dont get it they want the lates on their feet
Imagine that, that'll happen when money is free
this dude plays a game for work, Im thinking how could this be?
called reebok the other day, "design my sneaks, some one can endorse me!"
I score a triple double, hat trick, every pass complete
walk of homers, under par, at the line im three for three
No ESPN or sport radio...but here's your MVP

BUT

I lay down trying to motivate myself
"there's some one worst off"
I wonder do the more furtunate fear me
when they turn and toss?
