The cool sea breeze is rushing against her skin,
the tide rolls in, the tide rolls out,
there are people all around her,
a couple to one side holding hands,
on her other a group of elderly sitting on the bench.
People are fishing, swimming, playing cricket,
she hears children laughing, jet skies buzzing away.
As the sun sets she thinks,
a perfect end to a day, a month,a year, a life.
As the tide rolls out for the last time in her life,
her last thoughts are of her children,
her soul consumed by the sea.
