The future will be much the same,
I would guess.
Forget the rubbish you see on TV,
It will be pretty much the same.
No robots dispensing drinks,
Or cleaning round the U-Bend,
Or flying cars,
Or tin foil suits.
It will be pretty much the same.
There will be some inventions,
And one or two new cures,
And the world will be a bit warmer,
Unless the Gulf Stream stops
Which will trigger a new ice-age,
But I’ll just get a thicker coat.
Forget all the rubbish you see on TV,
It will be pretty much the same.
So join me in my rousing chant.
The future will be much the same,
I would guess.

Yeah, I concur... but a spackle of Futurama, a smattering of Serenity, even Logan's Run - I'd be happy.
